The extruded interlocking pantile is a further development of the plain tile sinlge coverage. The interlocking replaces the formerly common shingle underlay and allows for a safe single coverage. In former times, it was mainly used to roof agricultural buildings, as well as for the redevelopment and extension of existing roofs. The extruded interlocking pantile, however, offers some additional interesting possibilities for modern architecture, as well. The roofing is carried out – depending on the regional circumstances – either bonded or joint on joint.
