Farmers began placing roosters, eagles and mythical creatures on the roof from around 1850 onwards. The actual origin dates back to antiquity.
The ridge rooster, for example, as always been a lucky charm and protector of the house. It was the symbol of alertness especially when it came to keeping fire away from the house and farmyard. It was also regarded as a symbol of fertility. In some districts it could only be placed on the roof when the first son was born.
CREATON stands for broad creative design freedom on the roof. Thus, the entire roof ornament range gives the roof a very special accent.
