SPECIAL SOLUTION 7° ROOF

Installing clay roof tiles at a 7° roof pitch – is that really necessary? We think: it can be sometimes! And with the CREATON 7° roof, you can.

It goes without saying that a roof covering with clay roof tiles at a roof pitch of 7° is not the standard case and thus always represents the exception. However, times change, roofing characteristics change and CREATON offers a solution in this context. For instance, with severely structured roofs featuring very low dormers or in the event of specific planning specifications, it can occasionally be the case that the roof pitch drops below 10°. Achieve a uniform look of the roof covering and still benefit from protection and safety during planning as well as installation thanks to the 7° CREATON roof.

Fundamentally, it is based on the specifications of the CREATON watertight sub-roof – however, it must meet additional specifications which we will explain in detail on this page. And of course, this only works within the system in conjunction with our top products regarding interlocking within the clay roof tile range: FUTURA, PREMION and SINFONIE. With these products, you will stay part of the system and remain on the safe side!  

GENERAL NOTES AS PER ZVDH

The specifications relating to sub-roof installations are CREATON manufacturer data, which differs from the specifications of national stipulations (such as ZVDH, ÖNORM or SIA standards). For this reason, we recommend you coordinate procedures and conclude individual agreements between yourselves as the installing roofers and the end customer or owner of the property. This will serve to safeguard the interests of both parties from a contractual point of view as a supplement to the service agreement. SPECIAL SOLUTION 7° ROOF

The CREATON 7° special-purpose solution is a system structure consisting of sub-roof design and roof covering. It must be installed according to CREATON manufacturer specifications, taking into account the following stipulations. We advise to exercise a stricter duty of care during the consultation and installation process. 

The variant applies to roofs with a roof pitch between 7° and < 10°. All notes, specifications and requirements listed in the installation instructions must be implemented. 

The variant is installed beyond ZVDH specialist stipulations. For this reason, building owners must be fully informed about this and they must give their consent by signing a written agreement. 

Deviations from this procedure are exclusively valid following coordination as part of written, individual approval and exact installation specifications by CREATON Applications Technology. This also applies for the details or designs that have not been included in these installation instructions. There is no general entitlement to deviations.
